Your health is our top priority.  We have the programs in place to help you maintain and stay on top of your health. The Cardinal Retirement Residence takes our residents’ health and well-being very seriously.  Our health care programs are run by our Director of Resident Care, our RPN. The Cardinal Retirement Residence is proud to say that we are the only retirement home in the city of Hamilton and region providing assisted living included in our rental rates.

Here are some care & nursing services that you will find at the Cardinal:

  • A personalized service assessment where we evaluate your individual needs and then create a custom care plan tailored to you
  • Nursing services, run by our RPN and her nursing team, on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Ongoing monitoring of residents’ health status
  • Medication administration and support
  • Specialized intervention programs, such as nutrition tracking, weight management and falls risk assessment.
  • Respite care for individuals who are recovering from surgery or a recent hospitalization
  • Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy can be arranged with the assistance of our nursing team.
